- An approved Anti-Virus application that is
installed, actively running with current virus definitions.
- Microsoft Anti-Spyware installed and
active.

When you connect your system to the residential

constantly monitor your system to ensure it meets these
requirements.
You can choose not to install this client but your
internet access will be disabled. If at any time you machine does
not meet the requirements listed above internet access will
automatically be disabled until the requirements are met.
Wireless Access:
- Wireless access is available in Renfro
Library and Nash Education building.
- Mars Hill College does not have wireless
access in any of the residence halls.
- Personal wireless access points are
strictly prohibited. We regularly scan for wireless
access points and if it is determined you have one installed your network
access will be disabled!
Currently Mac and Linux based machines can access the internet but not any MHC
network resources.
The Mars Hill College ITS
Department has a 'hands off' policy for personal computing
equipment. We will not provide any support for your personal
computer system or any other electronic devices. It is your personal
property and it is your responsibility to keep it in working
condition.
If your computer at any time poses a threat to
the MHC network or other users your network access will be
immediately disabled. Network access will not be restored until you
prove that the problems are corrected. There are no exceptions!
